Wayne and Wax Wednesday only!

Thanks again to Chris for taking some time out to talk to us about DJing on the road, and the power of mixtapes. Remember to think about tunes you'd like to bring in for our upcoming live performances and mixtape sessions!

But before we get to those final blows, I'm pleased to announce Wayne Marshall aka Wayne and Wax is going to be joining us for this Wednesday's session! There's no Saturday session due to memorial day weekend so I'd like to put the open invitation out to all Saturday students who'd like to catch this class to join us on Wednesday if you can make it!

Wayne is an ethno-musicologist and DJ who hails from just over the bridge in Cambridge. He teaches at colleges in the Boston area and DJ's locally and worldwide. He writes about music from all over the globe and is most recently celebrating a publication from Duke University Press all about Reggaeton (pictured below). Wayne will join us to talk about how his academic and DJ world collide, and will give us a quick demo of Ableton Live his software of choice.

Please listen to Wayne's most recent mix Gig Wit It before your class.

Should be an awesome class see you Wednesday!
