This film is about the relationship between a person and their city, because they have no relationships with other people.

-Shots of city in early morning/late at night, distant shots of people entering their homes and lights going off in houses, etc.
-Enter protagonist (covered in heavy winter clothing, face never shown), small under bright light with large shadow, face shrouded by shadow as well.
-Occasional contrasting scenes with protagonist alone at home and people interacting with others in the city.
-Protagonist wanders city in the morning's dim mechanical light, paying no mind to other people, but subtly receiving some secret joy from being outside and alone, which should heighten as the film progresses.
-The ugliness/disability will be less important in a physical sense.
-Protagonist does lots of walking and is shown on public transportation, but mostly alone.
-Film ends with retreating train lights in a tunnel.
