Sound Project

For my sound project, I want to record the sounds around my house in the early morning during the week. For instance, the alarm clocks and my dad yelling at my sister to wake up.
The sounds I will need to record are:
Alarm clocks
My Dad yelling
Footsteps
Doors opening and closing
Water running
Teeth brushing
My Mom talking/calling me and my sister
A space heater

I want to use a mono mic to record so I can use surround sound more and put different sounds on different channels. Most of the sound will hopefully be recorded in the actual morning, but it might have to be staged because it's so early in the morning, I might forget to start recording.
