I'm very excited to be working with you, too. You have a good story to tell, your treatment is in great shape, and your interview questions are solid.

I hope we'll have a chance to connect before your shooting is complete.May we have a 15-30 minute chat during your class time on Fridays? I am available alternate Fridays during that time, starting Friday March 25. Do I call you there? If so, at what number? Will you please find out how it works, and let me know? That would be much appreciated. (I may also be a able to squish in a 15- minute call this Friday, March 18 at 4:30 or 5:00.)

Given the schedule above and how much progress you've already made, I'm just going to take the liberty of jumping in with some advice (already!).

Your excellent teacher may have suggested as much already, but just in case, when shooting your dad's intv, I suggest bringing whatever images you have that will represent his childhood to the intv, then asking him to speak about a memory connected to each photo. There are two reasons for this suggestion: the photo may prompt him toward a memory in a natural way, and whatever answer he gives will relate more closely to the image. Having stories that match the pictures will be a huge time-saver when editing, both for your own organizational purposes as a producer/director and for concise story-telling.
