i think that this should be shot outside (along the water, through quincy market, down streets). a guy could be walking down a street and you could actually do a pretty literal representation of the words. some of the stuff that he talks about happening he could be watching people doing, and then walks by. it could open as a wide shot and then cuts to closer. there could also be rearview shots of him walking. there could be frequent cuts on the beat.
I see this in black and white. It would begin with a lot of shots of tall buildings, parked cars, street signs, ect. Once the music starts there would be a scene where a young man is purchasing a Charlie Ticket and getting on the train. Once on the train there could be a lot of brief shots of train stops and landmarks. Once downtown, the camera would follow the protagonist as he goes through a day in Boston. He would visit famous parts of the city, bump into people he knows, buy a coffee, ect. Towards the end of the video he gets back on an empty train and thinks about his day on the way back home.
