personal goals
Another year another piece gonna try and come out with something big this year, that will either get the crowd roaring with laughter or have them relating to it and be able to understand what the meaning of it is. Under those terms a narrative short that is either a comedy or a deep and meaningful piece. I'm not gonna work as much with any types of special effects but instead good composition with a lot of emotion in it. Great start. If you are
Great start. If you are interested in doing narrative, it is crucial that your start the script-writing process. Sticking with composition, and with deliberate emotion in the script and in the acting are important elements to focus on.
To start the script writing process, in a new blog post, list out some themes that you want to explore. These can be very general: friendship, fear, greed, etc. or you can be more specific. "a piece that explore how two strangers handle a very awkward situation"
Even with the more specific description, you indicated that you were interested in a deep meaningful piece. What is that meaning, and what emotion are trying to get at?
Get me another blog post with this flushed out some ASAP, no later than 12/9.
Hey Nick! I just want to
Hey Nick!
I just want to start by saying how much I liked Train of Sound. I really dug how you used the audio from their interview along with the audio of them playing and switched back and forth between playing and talking in the video. Not to mention that it was an interesting subject. From this I feel that you have a good sense of structure which is something that will definitely help you in a more narrative project. Even though your ideas are pretty broad right now I think you would be able to flesh out a great story whether you want it to make people laugh or think. Now it's just a matter of figuring out what story you want to tell. I feel that at this point in our lives the one thing we know the most about is ourselves. Maybe you could start thinking of something that is of importance or is interesting to you as a jumping point to your story.
Looking forward to hearing more!
