New project idea

Okay, so I was talking with my dad, and I realized that the documentary I was thinking of doing won't be possible. The budget cuts will be finalized by the end of this month, and that won't be enough time to make a film. So I'm scrapping the idea. Luckily, I had a dream last night that gave me a really good idea...

The new idea isn't a documentary, but a narrative film. Basically, the plot is about a young man who travels around the state, without much of a purpose. Throughout the film, I'm going to focus on five families/people he stays with. I realized that the film would be mostly about character development, and then that it would be much more interesting if the people he stays with change rather than the traveler himself. The traveler will be a static character, through which the others find out more about themselves. I think that I want to make it so that they finally find out the way to confront their problems, but he will leave right before they actually do. The next step would to be to develop the characters who the main guy will visit.
