NEW ENDING for Fast Forward Script (The Woman and the Glass of Lemonade W.T.)
EXT. SIDEWALK - NIGHT
Zach is walking down the sidewalk and the sky is dark. He continues to walk and then pauses as he comes across an ally. A green coat can be seen at the far end.
Curious, he begins to walk slowly down the ally.
As he gets closer he realizes that it is the woman. He ducks and gets against the wall. The woman is bent over, head in the front window of a parked car. Zach realizes that she is a prostitute.
He begins to run up to her.
She sees him, her face grows solemn and she slowly backs away.
Zach slows, his mouth open slightly out of shock and amazement. He looks behind him, afraid of being detected for this is not his comfort zone. One might expect his mother to come marching out of the ally after him.
Turning back towards the woman, he finds that she’s gone.
INT. RESTAURANT - DAY
The next day Zach stands in the restaurant. No woman. He frowns, unsure of what to do with himself.
INT. ALLY - EVENING
The woman stands with a crowd of other people. A car pulls up. She leans over, then opens the door
and gets in.
INT. CAR - SAME TIME
WOMAN
Where are we going?
ZACH
(confident, looking straight ahead)
My place.
INT. LONG ROOM - DAY
A long room, high windows, light pouring in off the ocean. Zach and the woman sit next to each other. They both stare off into the distance.
WOMAN
It’s never felt like that before... I didn’t recognize you Zach.
Taking hold of her hand. His phone rings. He holds it up, see’s who’s calling and with a flick of his wrist chucks the phone across the floor.
ZACH
(clam yet firm)
We’ve changed things...
WOMAN
(letting go of his hand, voice quivering)
Though I don’t think I can do this, anymore...
ZACH
(still not looking at her)
It’s probably best.
(finally turning to her)
Just, before you go, maybe one last lemonade.
WOMAN
(nodding, smiling)
Yeah, okay...
They get up and walk down the hall.
