NAMAC CommonWealth Conference

This weekend, NAMAC is hosting the CommonWealth conference at the Park Plaza Hotel & Towers in Boston. I spent some time there, and met up with Joe and Oliver for a discussion on the transition of young media artists into professionals or independent artists. It is a topic relevant to my current life, as I prepare for my senior year of college (I leave on Sunday!).

The conversation was truly engaging. Representatives from Home Inc., Scribe, and other organizations (whose names I will remember once Joe sends us the email with notes--thanks for taking those, Joe) came to the table to talk about what draws youth to media programs, what they gain from that experience, and how relevant it is or isn't once they leave the program.

It was nice to catch up with Oliver and Joe. I didn't know we had a section of the website here for Fast Forward alumni, which is what brings me here. I've been making animations at college and would like to upload a few to share.
