Movie Treatment, Better Version
A Man Called GarcĂa is a band on the rise from Massachusetts. They have two members; Jeremy Jawbreaker and Anastasia Millionbucks. Jeremy and Anastasia met while modeling in L.A. This film is about how the band formed and their rise to fame. Anastatia immediately noticed Jeremy's amazing (and non-existent) guitar skills during a break between photo shoots. She approached him about starting a band with Jeremy on guitar and Anastatia on vocals (Anastasia was actually good). Jeremy also does the screaming vocals. They were discovered while playing a concert at a hotel for a crowd of 1. An owner of a record company was walking past when he heard them playing. He signed them to a deal and their first record Philadelphia Cheese
Steaks Are Not Vegan Friendly was released. This immediately got them a wikipedia page. As far as Jeremy and Anastatia are concerned, if they have a wikipedia page they're famous. Even if no one actually knows about them.

yo, so like i said, give some
yo,
so like i said, give some rock mockumentaries a close viewing, take notes if you're in the mood, and just notice how the directors/writers of those movies made the narrative structure work- the story, that is. i like your specific examples, because the humor in the movie largely comes from the script.
Maybe the movie ends with Garcia finally "earning" a Wikipedia page, and they notice it one morning and give each other a high-five and freak out?
Also, what is the tension in the storyline? What goes wrong? I remember when I was in 7th grade or something my friend and I wanted to do a fake rock band documentary where one of the members gets addicted to bagels, and how the band overcame that obstacle. (haha). Does Garcia come close to real fame (aka wikipedia) only to have their dreams squashed by a crippling event?
