Motion Graphics and Adobe After Effects

Adobe After Effects, a motion graphics and compositing software, is used in the television, film and video industry to animate text, logos and characters and to create special effects in 2D and 3D space.

Designed for the beginner user, this workshop will teach the AE interface and tools through hands-on exercises and demonstrations. We will learn the basics of masking, keying, rotoscoping and tracking, introducing students to digital animation concepts of key frames, curves and parenting. We will also explore the integration of 3D animation and animating to a music track.

Fee: $100 nonmembers, $65 members
Free for Boston Public School students
Open to high school students.
Familiarity with Photoshop suggested.
