A boy is on the verge of becoming a man. As he ages, letters come in the mail. Telling him what to do, to prevent his horrible death.

Whoah, I like this. Although: how much time is going to pass? It is going to be a hassle to find a bunch of different actors to represent different ages. Maybe it can take place over a year or a six month period so you don't have to get other actors. I like this idea a lot, it's very creepy and Twilight-Zone-ish!!

I really like this idea. I agree with Anna, you might want to condense the time. The scale of this works, and the element of letter writing and reading is a cool thing to reflect on since it is a dying art. Who is the boy, where does he live. who is writing the letters? What language is it all in? Why does it have to be a horrible death? Can it be something else that he is heading towards. I would encourage you to try to eliminate some of the melodrama and try and bring out the subtle drama that can be more effective.
