Mimi!
It was so exciting to see your piece form into such a beautiful composition at the screening! Also last week was awesome to see you playing around with stop motion and split screens! I think multiple screens will definitely add a cool geometric and color element.
Here are some of the notes I took during the screening::::::::
really interesting compositions
costumes are great!
subtle but suggestive intro
shot length perfect
can sound correlate with hand running against walls? is there a pattern in her movements that the sound can accentuate?
music will help--- NOAH--- may seem boring now but don't worry the sound will make it so cool
mix colors shown? not just one color at a time? (the CU on the yellow poncho blanket and zoom out to show her is genius!)
I like going back to projections
Maybe there are things to cut down or out?? or just make them faster? also if you decide to do split screens that will reduce the time!
MIMI you have such an awesome style- it is clear that it is you- classy and clean.
Can't wait for more!

PS___ Here is a super cool multiscreen music video made my one of my favorite musicians Karl Blau. i'm gonna show it in class but I thought you might find it interesting because it shows all the parts to make the song. The ending is especially cool!

Great idea! Made me think about this scene from "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToT0yAM2WU4&feature=related. The man's handkerchief changes color from red to green and the women's sleeves turn from red to white, going along with the color of the set. The director of the film utilized an 'invisible wipe' at 0:15 which made the change possible. I'm not sure how this could aid your video but it may serve as an inspiration or a future reference.
It may be interesting if you had a sequence of quick cuts from different scenes to generate interest. Depending on the sounds you use, you could make the cuts faster or slower. You could also reduce the frame rate drastically for one shot of your entire piece.

Heya,
looking good-- I agree that there needs to be a bit more rhythm, not sure what exactly your plans are, but there is room for great potential in terms of creating a narrative structure through differently paced cuts, as well as different actions she can do, that will really enhance the playful nature of the video. i assume you will be editing out the background chit-chatting, right? what kind of sound are you thinking of using? definitely check out that video that david posted if you haven't already-- it's seriously awesome and inspiring for your project!
