DJ School 201: Scratch Live
This advanced DJ workshop builds on the DJ 101 beginner's course, moving students past analog vinyl DJ-ing into digital DJ-ing using Seratos’s Scratch Live. Students will learn advanced mixing and scratching techniques while beginning to develop a personal style. The goal of this course is to create an identity for each of the DJs as well as an identity for the ICA Teen DJ team. This workshop culminates with a DJ performance at the ICA Teen Night on May 18th.
7 sessions, Tuesdays, April 3 – May 15, 4 – 6 PM, and Friday, May 18, 4- 9pm
(no session during BPS April vacation week)
Fee: $ 180 nonmembers; $150 members

Open to high school students in grades 9 through 11.
DJ School 101 is a prerequisite for this program.
All equipment provided.

Boston Public School Student Scholarships
A limited number of full scholarships are available for Boston Public School students for all ICA Teen New Media workshops. To apply for one of the scholarships, fill out the workshop application and be sure to check YES for the question "Are you a Boston Public School Student?". To receive the scholarship you will need to make an appointment to meet with the Teen New Media Program manager prior to the beginning of the workshop.
