KIDNEY STONES
- really great dialogue and subtle humor!
- Interesting touch to not show mother
- Is there a way that you can minimize the background sounds during the first scene that Robbie tells Spencer that his mom is dying?
- I love that each conversation has many different angles. I think that makes it quirky and funny and interesting. Great job!
- Also great use of the limited location. I thought that it definitely looked like a hospital and the dialogue, while minimal, reinforced it.
- Wonderful job for the first movie! All that needs to happen now is some fine tuning on the audio and the cuts!

Very funny. I am impressed with how it does seem to become a black comedy. A lot of it has to do with your actors' performances.
As a first piece I would say this is a good development. I would consider it strong if you reshoot the audio in the first scene. The ambient noise is just too distracting.

Ambient sound in background in
Hospital background noise
Transition sound between the two.
But wild sound behind.
Need Credits.

More preparation could have gone into it.
Like the concept. Should have spent more time on it.
More preproduction - script before first day for actors to review lines
Locations that you really liked.
Settled for shots
Scene with mother – hard to understand, awkward scene. Sound level with mom is higher than begnning.
Too much space between two lines before spencer runs to see mom
Not a lot of emotion between lines being said.
Worked as dark comedy.
Artistically didn’t seem to get out of it as much. Deserved more.
More could have been done with location.
A cut from the first and second cut standing on different sides. Switch that up.
Really like that you cut a lot. Especially the different angles. Makes it stranger.
Use the space well. Not obvious ICA signs.
To help it flow. Audio jumps.
For first piece, really good. Jokes are funny. Camera angles are good.
It was awkwardly funny.
Works fine in ICA.
Surprised me that it worked better than I thought.
