Audio Project Ideass.

I was thinking of some ideas that would give me a chance to use a range of sounds, like background ambiance, dialogue and sound effects.

First Idea:
Two friends walking down the street, an old boyfriend stops one of them, they have an awkward conversation, then the two girls continue on talking about what had happened between them, in a city like atmosphere; cars, beeping, clicking of their heels, ambulances in the background.

Second Idea:
A family dinner, clinking of plates and whatnot, heated debate starts, turns into an argument; argument becomes violent, sort of like a chain reaction of events that lead to the climax. This would be more difficult as I'd need a range of people with convincing audio acting skills. But also I was thinking that the microphone could be a person, like it was witnessing the events sort of like a narrator.

Third Idea: An employee is called to their bosses office.... the boss is questioning as he believes she has been stealing money... girl goes back to work, convinced she has convinced her boss of her innocence.. background noises of the store then you here them closing the store, the light switch turns off and you hear the cash register open... boss comes in and catches her red handed and turns into a heated chase.

I'm trying to think of really emotion-filled situations that can be captured by audio, so that the audience really feels as though there in the room or in the situation as a witness to everything.

Hey Nicole! This is great to

Hey Nicole!
This is great to see a number of different ideas for the audio project! All seem good but I feel particularly drawn to the family dinner one. It is important with these projects I feel, to try and work on something that you have personal experience with since there isn't really enough time to put in the research for a theme that you aren't as familiar with. The only reason why I wasn't as intrigued by the first idea is because Peter is doing something similar so I thought it would be nice to work on a different idea but at the same time it might be interesting to see how you both approach a similar idea.
Anyways if you are thinking about the family dinner idea, your research can start with your own family dinner or remembering past family dinners. The sound effects and easy to list and gather since you can use all of the real materials to make them! If you are concerned about finding good actors maybe you can re think making the argument turn so violent. There is something interesting to be said for just everyday parent and child arguments about mundane things. For example when I went to visit my parents over Thanksgiving I had about a 2.5 long screaming match with my mother about my hair. It's insane how much goes into an argument about such a dumb subject. Even if the characters are getting emotionally invested and it turns into screaming and crying that makes it all the more comical when you are hearing what they are arguing about. Just something to consider...
Anyways what we really need is a list of the dialogue and the sound effects that you will have take place in this scene (or whatever scene you decide on!) An effective way to go about doing this so that it also serves as a useful editing tool and shot list is to make 2 columns. One being dialogue and one being sound effects. Write out the dialogue first and then list the sound effects that correspond with the lines.
Can't wait to talk to you more about this!

Hey Nicole! I was wondering

Hey Nicole!
I was wondering if you were going to still do your idea about your mother and the car being blown up?
Have you written down any ideas for how you want to recreate this scene?
Talk to you soon!
