Audio peace

I would like to do a piece on the buffet style restuarant in my grandparents town called the Applehouse. It will be like a southern restaurant scene.

is it a story? Is it a soundscape? It is you narrating us through it, or are we just hearing someone experieincing the buffet. Do you have a comment in mind that you are making? This doesn't have to be explicit in the piece, I am just wondering.

Give me a list of all the sounds you are imagining.

Yeah, this sounds really interesting. I can already imagine what this type of soundscape would be like. My southern grandparents took me to one of these buffets when I was younger... Clinking silverware, country radio and coffee pouring sounds?

Great idea. What's the larger message (is there one?)? Who will you follow through the buffet and from what point will you start the story (in the kitchen with the food before it lands in the buffet? the moment someone enters the restaurant?)? What perspective are you taking?

Also, make sure you double check with the manager of the Applehouse to make sure it's OK to record.

Not much of a message, just an ambiance piece. It's just a little slice of Applehouse. It's also more like a chain conglamorate where older people go to get their early bird specials.

Plates clanking with silverware, water running, restaurant talking, tray being slammed down, lines: welcome to applehouse, we got veal porkchop and roast beef, what's that?, jello with whipped cream, I told Hank that if he couln't get me the forms, there was not way in heck he could buy the property,
