Architecture and Design

Imagine designing an outdoor space for teens: what would it include, a skate park… an ice cream stand…an art wall? What would it look like and how would it interact with its surroundings? Explore these architectural questions, look at the ICA’s building for inspiration, and create a teen park using Google SketchUp 3D software.

Fee: $ 180 nonmembers; $144 members

Open to high school students entering 9th - 12th grade.
No prior experience necessary. All equipment provided.
Enrollment limited to 12 students

Boston Public School Student Scholarships
A limited number of full scholarships are available for Boston Public School students for all ICA Teen New Media workshops. To apply for one of the scholarships, fill out the workshop application and be sure to check YES for the question "Are you a Boston Public School Student?". To receive the scholarship you will need to make an appointment to meet with the Teen New Media Program manager prior to the beginning of the workshop.
