Advanced Digital Photography - April Vacation 2012

DJ School 101
This teen workshop will reinforce and build upon the skills learned in the ICA‘s Intermediate Digital Photography Workshop. Students will engage in three specific shooting areas: portraits, shooting for black and white, and landscapes. Students will learn advanced instructions for working with RAW images, working in different color modes, improving final print quality and organizing a meaningful portfolio that can be printed, posted on the ICA teen website and copied to a disc. Students will also discuss how the ICA galleries functions as a portfolio/collection.

4 sessions, Tuesday - Friday, Apr 17 - 20, 10:30 –2:00 pm
Fee: $ 200 nonmembers; $160 members
Full scholarships available for Boston Public School students. See below.

Open to high school students.
All equipment provided. (Students are encouraged to bring their own DSLR cameras)
Enrollment limited to 12 students.

Prerequisite: intermediate/advanced Photoshop skills, basic Adobe Bridge skills; experience using Digital SLR cameras with RAW settings. (A previous workshop in Digital Photography at the ICA or other institution would satisfy this requirement. Please contact us if you have any questions about your experience level.)

Boston Public School Student Scholarships
A limited number of full scholarships are available for Boston Public School students for all ICA Teen New Media workshops. To apply for one of the scholarships, fill out the workshop application and be sure to check YES for the question "Are you a Boston Public School Student?". To receive the scholarship you will need to make an appointment to meet with the Teen New Media Program manager prior to the beginning of the workshop.
