Desperate People Treatment (REAL)
Tom Hansen (Romero) abruptly wakes up for school in the morning. So does his best friend Nick Connor (Andrade). Tom and Nick have been friends for about five years. Tom wakes up to a day that goes not too well. His girlfriend breaks up with him and every attempt Nick tried to make Tom feel better, he fails. Nick brings Tom in for a surprise by bringing his older friend Will back in the picture. Tom and Will don't re-connect as this brings tension into Tom and Nicks relationships as friends. Months go by after a big fight with Tom and Nick, they accidentally meet-up with their dates.
Desperate People Treatment
Tom and Nick have been friends for years. Toms brother died three days after his 8th birthday, his father died when he was five, and he's never coped with any of this. He doesn't really care whether he loses his girlfriends or not, Nick cares a little too much. These are two very opposite guys, but somehow end up connecting. Maybe it's god's work (but Tom finds it hard to believe there's a god).

An Open Mind To Wondrous Opportunities
I’m midway into writing my new screenplay. It’s called “Desperate People” (also known as “Welcome To The Family”). Since it’s a short film I don’t want to get too much into descriptions. I have been taking a long hiatus. Since we don’t start shooting until maybe Spring. I have been working on other projects too. I currently wrapped filming “Level Four”, and will start shooting “X-Mas” in a few weeks (both horrors). I’ve had the idea for “Desperate People” for a really long time, that is until Fast Forward ‘10 came along. There’s only one problem. If I make it there, I can’t sell the exclusive rights. That’s one idea I really dislike. The ICA would like to show our work whenever they please. That’s fine with me, but not being allowed to sell the rights. I’ll pass. What do you think? Should I film Desperate People at the ICA or not?
