As a child, what were some things you saw in your neighborhood?
How did you become involved with drugs/alcohol?

Treatment 2011
Journey to Change Treatment
v1 - 1/14/2011
Chavella Lee-Pacheco
Michael Pacheco is a Puerto Rican/Irish male who grew up as the minority in the Worcester projects. He speaks of his childhood, random stories beginning from when he was younger progressively getting older. The stories will overlap, 2 or 3 at a time, though the main one in focus will be extremely prominent and easy to hear. Accompanying the audio will be visuals of children playing, him speaking, or photographs that relate to what is being said.
Ideas for Audio Project
Idea:
- Ask a question (ie: what is life?) and have one word responses from a group of people. I would like to have music weaving in and out of the project
- Ask a group of people what some problems they think are prominent in their society. have the answers overlapping like the tupperware example
- Have bits and pieces of candid conversations
Life In A Bottle
Video Idea
Video Project/ Music Video
"The World Spins- Crucial ft. Dyme-A-Duzin"
Stop motion. comparison between two friends lives, male and female. when not in their own area, they seem the same. same style of dress, etc. but home lifestyles are Completely different. female lives in projects, rundown home. male lives in a beautiful mansion(?). video will flicker between different activities the two do at home, and compare how different their lives actually are. may even try to do animation during the chorus
activities:
- transportation. female will wait for bus/ male will drive nice car
Video Ideas
1st Idea:
Showing contrast in peoples lives
ie. different communities within boston/different lifestyles/different cultures
2nd Idea:
A kid takes some type of serum (pill, liquid?) that makes them see the truth
They see flashses of the real life while living their own
(may even incorporate 1st idea)
Sound Project
- Laughter, Cracking Bottle, "Skeletons" escaping out of bottle (Tea Kettle, Air Escaping)
Kids Laughter that ends when a bottle cracks. Air will be escaping out of the bottle along with secrets that we're poured into it. Secrets will be muffled though, not everything will be heard/understood
Secrets being said: (any suggestions?)
End with a shriek (that changes into laughter and loops back around?)
